As we inch closer to 2023, smartphone enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the release of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Recently, the company confirmed that it will be launching the Galaxy S23 series in February next year at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco.

The upcoming S23 series will have three models – Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming flagship devices:

Galaxy S23 series design

Galaxy S23 series specs

The S23 features a 6.9inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It‘s powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For gaming, it has a MaliG78 MP10 GPU, which is capable of running any game at high frame rates.

According to TENAA certification documents, the Galaxy S23 Ultra (SMG9180) has a 6.8inch display with a QHD+ resolution of 3,088×1,440 pixels. It offers both 4G LTE and 5G connectivity, and is powered by an octacore processor with three CPU clusters, with one clocked at 3.36GHz, two at 2.8GHz and one at 2GHz. This is similar to the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (AC version) but with a higher clock speed than the vanilla Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (AB version). The device comes with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options.

Galaxy S23 Camera

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is rumoured to have a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor for its rear camera. Ice Universe states that the 200MP primary camera will have support from one 12MP sensor and two 10MP cameras.

In terms of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus, it’s been reported by GalaxyClub that these models will have a 12MP front camera – an upgrade from the 10MP sensors on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus.
